This Privacy Policy explains how PaEase (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal information when you use our mobile application and in-app services. It does not cover our public website or third-party sites.

Information We Collect (Mobile App)

  • Device & Diagnostics: Device model, OS/app version, IP (approx.), crash logs.
  • Location (optional): Approximate or precise location with your consent.
  • Usage Data: In-app actions, screens viewed, timestamps, referral source.

How We Use Your Information

  • Identity verification and creditworthiness assessment.
  • Loan application processing, disbursement, servicing, and collections.
  • Customer support and in-app communications (e.g., OTPs, alerts).
  • App analytics, performance improvement, fraud and abuse prevention.
  • Compliance with legal, regulatory, and audit requirements.

Data Sharing & Disclosure

  • Service Providers: Cloud hosting, SMS/email, analytics, KYC—bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
  • Credit Bureaus & Financial Institutions: For verification, reporting, and collections as permitted by law.
  • Regulators/Law Enforcement: Where required by applicable law.
  • Business Transfers: In a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with continuity of protections.

Permissions & Sensitive Data

  • Location: Fraud checks or nearby service features (optional; you can deny).
  • Files/Media/Photos: Only to upload required documents (e.g., payslips). We do not access other content.
  • Phone/SMS: Only for OTP verification or actions you initiate.
Note: Manage permissions in your device settings. Some features may be limited if permissions are disabled.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect data, including encryption in transit, role-based access controls, and monitoring. No method is 100% secure, but we strive for a high standard.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the app's services, legal/regulatory and audit requirements, dispute resolution, and enforcement. Then we delete or anonymize it.

Your Rights

  • Access personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction, update, or deletion (subject to legal retention).
  • Withdraw consent for optional processing (e.g., marketing, certain permissions).

Children's Privacy

The app is not intended for persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We comply with applicable data-protection laws where we operate, including Zambia’s requirements. If specific rights or disclosures are mandated in your jurisdiction, we will honor them.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be communicated via the app. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Policy.
